Fight for Love

Fight for Love is one of my favorite love stories. It's cheerful, the girl is wonderful and the man is absolutely ghastly!! It all begins in London, England where an art gallery employee helps and old Texan. He's gruff and together they form a friendship that was one of those things you just do if you're a nice person.
Fast forward a few months and he's passed away, leaving her 1/2 his estate (huge ranch) along with a "gotcha" clause. The gotcha happens to be the grandson who is not looking for a gold-digger dame!
The book is a good read -- mine's the Mills & Boon edition and does follow their formula of a guaranteed happy ending. I liked this one though and Penny Jordan is a familiar-to-me author. Initially, that's why I chose to buy Fight -- because she'd written another book I liked.
Anyway, this is a charming book and worth reading. I enjoyed it and indeed it has won a permanent spot in my library -- at least until it hopefully comes out as an ebook! Happy reading is guaranteed, so pick this one and enjoy.

She had come to take his inheritance.
Natasha Ames wasn't surprised that Jay Travers resented her presence on his family's Texas ranch. Not after she learned that his grandfather, who had met Natasha on a trip to England, had left her half of his property in his will.
Natasha didn't know why the shrewd old Texan had made such a bequest to a virtual stranger, but she was determined not to leave until she found out.
It wasn't easy living with Jay's hostility - especially when Natasha found herself falling in love with the harsh rancher.
